Carla Seatzu

Carla Seatzu is an Associate Professor of Automatic Control at the University of Cagliari, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Carla Seatzu was born in Cagliari, Italy, on 27 October 1971.
In 1996 she received the Laurea degree (M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cagliari,.
In 2000 she received the Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Cagliari.

Her research interests include

discrete event systems,
Petri nets,
hybrid systems,
networked control systems,
decentralized control of open-channels,
control of mechanical systems.

Current activities:

Co-chair IEEE IES Technical Committee on Factory Automation - Subcommittee on Automated Manufacturing and Control Systems.
Member of the Editorial Board of the international journals:
-     Nonlinear Analysis: Hybrid Systems, Elsevier.

-     The Open Automation and Control Systems Journal, Bentham Open.

Associate Editor of the Conference Editorial Board of the IEEE Control System Society.
Associate Editor of the Conference Editorial Board of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.
Member of the IFAC Technical Committee on Discrete Event and Hybrid Systems.
