Giorgio Giacinto is an Associate Professor of Computer Engineering and a permanent faculty member at the University of Cagliari, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Giorgio Giacinto received the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1994 from the University of Cagliari and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering in 1999 from the University of Salerno.

His main research interests are in the following areas:

• Pattern Recognition
• Multiple Classifier Systems
• Advanced Network Intrusion Detection Systems
• Relevance Feedback in image database

Giorgio Giacinto is a Senior Member of the IEEE and the ACM, and a member of the IAPR.
