Maria Paola Cabasino is a Post Doc since March 12, 2009 in Automatic Control at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Cagliari, Italy.

She became Doctor in Electronic and Computer Engineering on March 12, 2009 defending the thesis entitled Diagnosis and Identification of discrete event systems using Petri nets.

Her research interests include:

• discrete event systems;
• Petri nets;
• fault diagnosis;
• identification.

She has been a visiting researcher at: Universidad de Zaragoza (Saragozza, Spain), University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, Michigan, US), University of Illinois (Urbana Champaign, Illinois, US).

In the academical year 2010/11 she taught the course:
