Paolo Attilio Pegoraro is Post-Doc Fellow in the Electrical and Electronic Measurements Group of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at
the University of Cagliari .
He received the M.S. degree in Telecommunications Engineering (cum laude) (dissertatio title: "Sviluppo di un front-end wavelet per il riconoscimento vocale”") and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic and
Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Padova, with the dissertation: "TCP traffic analysis by wavelet transform: critical aspects and application to network performance monitoring”".
He is member of IEEE and of the Italian Electrical and Electronic Measurements Group Association, GMEE.
His research activity focuses on measurement issues for power systems and telecommunication networks. He has research interests also in the fields of
signal processing for speech recognition and VoIP applications, and of e-learning platforms, particularly for measurement subjects.
In the last years the research activity has been particularly devoted to developing algorithms for synchrophasor calculation and to investigating measurement systems for state estimation and
harmonic source estimation for power distribution networks.
