Contents:

The Course aims to provide basic knowledge in the field of Electrical and Electronic Measurements and introduce modern measurement equipment, signal conditioning and digital instruments. Continuous learning is favored by means of technical literature, manuals of manufacturers, technical standards and the law.
Furthermore aspects are dealt with the experimental measurements and the laboratory tests.


MEASUREMENTS ON POWER SYSTEMS - IN/0026

Contents:

The course provides the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to carry out the main electrical measurements on power systems. In particular, there is also an illustration of detailed elements, which are essential for the translation of theoretical knowledge into concrete actions.
Laboratory tests are provided for the assessment of the behavior of some machines and equipment.


 

MEASUREMENTS FOR ELECTRIC ENERGY - 70/LM-0064

Contents:

This course examines from a practical point of view the devices and methods used for measurements in industrial electrical systems, with reference to voltage and current transducers, measurement systems based on microprocessors and digital signal processing.
Particular focus is dedicated to aspects related to measurements for power quality and for Smart Grids.


AUTOMATIC MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS - 70/LM-0088

Contents:

The course “Automatic Measurement Systems” is designed to provide first year students of the “Laurea Magistrale” Degree in Electronic Engineering (Bachelor graduated students) with a deeper understanding of measurement area, with specific attention to advanced measurement technologies, methodologies and measurement signals processing concerning electrical quantities.
The Course aims at providing comprehensive knowledge of hardware and software useful for designing and using automatic measurement systems for industrial applications.


LABVIEW - IN/0232

Contents:

The Laboratory aims to provide the tools for the professional use of LabVIEW software and the achievement of the CLAD certification (Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer) of National Instruments (NI).
The Laboratory is structured to follow the contents of LabVIEW Core 1 and Core 2, as provided by NI in the international training centers.


 

THE MEASUREMENTS LABORATORY

The laboratory is mainly devoted to educational purpose as a complement of the lecture courses and graduation theses. Laboratory activities provide the student with the opportunity to gain some practical experience. The work and the experiments are done with standard methods and instruments and with automated PC-based instrumentation.
The laboratory moreover is used to perform researches in the field of diagnosis and testing devices for measurement in electric power systems in distorted conditions.
