Workshop Objectives

MCS 2004 is the fifth workshop of a series aimed to create a common international forum for researchers of the diverse communities working in the field of multiple classifier systems.

Information on the previous editions of MCS workshop can be found on:

Contributions from all the research communities working in the field are welcome in order to compare the different approaches and to define the common research priorities.

Special attention is also devoted to assess the applications of multiple classifier systems.

The papers will be published in the workshop proceedings by Springer, in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Extended versions of selected papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of an international journal.

Workshop Topics

Papers describing original work in the following and related research topics are welcome:

  • Foundations of multiple classifier systems
  • Methods for classifier fusion
  • Design of multiple classifier systems
  • Neural network ensembles
  • Bagging and boosting
  • Mixtures of experts
  • New and related approaches
  • Applications
