![]() Sardinia is easily reached by ferry or by air. Most international airports offer regular, direct flights during the summer months. Usually a flight at short notice provides no difficulties although we do advise our guests to book well in advance during the summer, at Easter time and during the Christmas season. The ferries take approximately 12 hours from mainland Italy (Rome, Genoa or Livorno) to the north Sardinian ports (Olbia, Porto Torres), whereas a direct flight from Britain only takes around 4 hours. Below, we have listed the most important port connections between Italy and Sardinia:
