The course introduces various basic notions from graph theory, matrix theory, averaging algorithms and distributed algorithms. The material will be motivated with examples of multi-agent systems drawn from the study of sensor networks, robotic networks, distributed computing and power networks.

Textbook: "Distributed Control of Robotic Networks" by Bullo, Cortes and Martinez, Princeton University Press, 2009, ISBN 978-0-691-14195-4.

The topics of the course are covered in Chapter 1 of the textbook. The entire book is freely available for download from together with other teaching material.
