September 16, 15:00 - 17:00: Introduction to Bioinformatics and Computational Biology

September 23, 10:00 - 12:00: Sequence, Structure and Function - a Research Update

Venue: Meeting hall (DIEE, Building B, 2nd floor)
Topics: The course consists of 2 seminars. The first will be a general introduction to Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and will describe some of the key concepts and problems that need to be solved. The second will describe the main areas of research in the Andrew Martin's group understanding the link between protein sequence, structure and function and recent results that have been obtained in these areas.
