The research interests of Professor Nello Cristianini are in the area of computational pattern analysis and its applications, like genomics, computational linguistics and artificial intelligence systems. He has contributed extensively to the field of kernel methods, and is co-author of the book "An Introduction to Support Vector Machines" (Cambridge University Press, 2000).
